James Thomas Bailey
James Thomas Bailey is a multi-faceted theatre artist and educator. In addition to being the artistic director and founder of ComedySportz LA, he has produced more than fifty shows in Los Angeles , most recently Kitty Carlisle Hart in her one-woman show, MY LIFE ON THE WICKED STAGE, and the west coast premiere of Robert Fulghum's ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN. James appeared on THE DREW CAREY SHOW and TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, a TV movie starring Jack Lemmon, based on the bestselling novel.
He has appeared in more than forty plays around the country and was one of The Impromptones, America 's premier musical improv quartet. He was also a regular on the nationally syndicated show QUIK WITZ and can currently be seen in several national commercials.
In addition, James has served as a creative consultant for Universal Studios, Walt Disney Feature Animation and Coca-Cola, among others. He serves as an arts consultant for the United States Department of State, and recently returned from Cyprus, where he worked with the US Embassy.
He is currently the president of both the California Educational Theatre Association and the World Comedy League, producers of ComedySportz worldwide.
