André Meadows

“Hi, I’m André, and I’m a Black Nerd.” André Meadows has played a collection of characters: ex-disco champ, astronaut, film geek, murder suspect, even against type as a white man and Jennie Garth from WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU. He is the creator, writer, and star of Comedy Time's SOUL & SON (featured in Backstage West), the award-winning TV JUNKIES, and hip-hop alter-ego Arnie Sykes. As a stand-up comedian, the "Black Nerd of Comedy" has graced NBC and BET showcases, won the Ha Ha Comedy Contest, and opened for Aisha Tyler and Maria Bamford. Videos from his BlackNerdComedy.com website received YouTube Top 100 honors and were highlighted on The 9 on Yahoo!, Revver, LiveVideo, and several blogs and podcasts. Yet, he still finds time to star in the mockumentary THE BREAKDANCE KID (now on DVD), produce his own movie spoofs like HEF AND THE MAGNIFICENT MANSION, and be named Best Male Improviser by LA Connection. We even hear he gives great foot rubs. That's what we heard. André was born in North Carolina and lived a short stint in Austin, Texas before moving to Los Angeles.
